External mobility (outplacement)
Outplacement is about more than finding a new job. It’s an opportunity to reflect, refocus, and take control of what comes next.
ProActief UvA supports staff who, voluntarily or involuntarily, are seeking a new challenge. We offer workshops in personal profiling, networking, job-search strategies and interview skills — complemented by individual career coaching and negotiation support.
Outplacement
At ProActief, we believe outplacement is about more than finding a new job — it’s an opportunity to redefine your career direction. We combine self-reflection and interview training with an active approach to the job market, tailored to each participant’s personal needs. We offer three programme levels: Essential (3–6 months), In-depth (6–9 months), Comprehensive (9–12 months)

For staff who want to grow within their current role or prepare for advancement, ProActief UvA offers a wide range of training, workshops and coaching.
These focus on talent and competency development, communication skills and personal leadership.

Work reintegration (second-track) support
For employees returning to work after illness or absence, we provide individual coaching, targeted training and active guidance in finding a suitable role, reintegration placement or education track.
A standard second-track programme lasts 6–12 months and can be tailored in duration and intensity.

About us
ProActief UvA BV is the official career partner of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and has been part of UvA Ventures since 1997.
We guide and strengthen the mobility of (former) UvA staff and professionals from related academic organisations.
Over the years, ProActief has supported numerous academic and non-academic staff members in redefining and revitalising their careers.
Our career coaches and trainers are experienced professionals. The core team is permanently affiliated with ProActief, and we collaborate with external coaches who each bring their own specialisation and expertise.
